Stephen Jomo is a multidisciplinary professional with over 22 years of experience across the energy sector and the manufacturing sector at various levels;
senior management, management and non-management levels.

Mr. Jomo has worked in various professional capacities that encompasses and interfaces with the Legal, Finance, Operations and Engineering. He is experienced commercial and business development executive with solid technical knowledge in gas agreements/contracts development and negotiations, gas pricing, project financing, gas pipeline system operations and facility planning, gas pipeline regulations regimes, among others.
He has demonstrated record of exceeding goals, optimizing performance, revenues growth, and driving operational excellence, especially in the energy sectors. He is currently the General Manager for Commercial Operations and a member of the executive management team of Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas).
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (L.L.B) from Mount Crest University College, Ghana; Commonwealth Executive MBA degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (K.N.U.S.T), Ghana; a Bachelor’s degree in Operations and Project Management from Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA), Ghana; a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering from Accra Polytechnic (now Accra Technical University), among others.
Prior to joining Ghana Gas in 2014, Mr. Jomo had worked for the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) for 8 years in various professional capacities, including pipeline systems operations and commercial interface with NGAS, Volta River Authority (VRA), CEB of Benin and Togo. He also worked with Unilever Ghana Limited as a production supervisor, Aluworks Ghana Limited as a production lead, Ghana Textile Manufacturing Company Limited (GTP) with the engineering design team, among others.
Mr. Jomo, is currently a key member of various committees within the energy sector. He is the Ghana Gas lead member on Ghana’s Energy Sector Recovery Program, the Cash Waterfall Mechanism (CWM), the Natural Gas Clearinghouse (NGC), and P4R. He played a significant role in the development of objectives and guidelines for the CWM, NGC and Ghana’ Supply and Demand Plan spearheaded by Energy Commission. He is also a member of the Gas Master Plan development committee tasked with the responsibility to develop a new Gas Master Plan for Ghana, the national committee on the Combined Gas Sales Agreement Gas Price Negotiations with the Jubilee Partners, the Electricity Market Oversight Panel; responsible for the monitoring of general performance of the market functions of Utilities, the Independent Power Producers (IPP) Negotiation Team, among others.
He is also currently Ghana Gas lead team member negotiating the Combined Gas Sales Agreement with the Jubilee Partners.
